South Dakota native and longtime Oklahoma player and assistant coach Josh Heupel is looking for a new job.

The Sooners have parted ways with their offensive coordinator, making it official at a Tuesday press conference.

Heupel said his goodbyes on Twitter:

Heupel joined the Sooners' staff as quarterbacks coach in 2005, later helping Sam Bradford win the Heisman Trophy in 2008. Two years later, Heupel was promoted to offensive coordinator.

Heupel was the South Dakota 'High School Player of the Year' for Aberdeen Central in 1996.

He began his collegiate career at Weber State, before eventually transferring to Oklahoma.
