A big second half against Northern State sent the Augustana Vikings to the upcoming semifinal round of the NSIC Sanford Health/NSIC Men's Basketball Tournament.  The Vikings beat the Wolves 85-61.

The Vikings (21-7) hit a season high 31 free throws while getting 10 steals from Northern State, also a season high.

Augustana opened the second half on a 16-5 run and led the entire half, out-scoring Northern State 50-28 in the second half. The Vikings finished the game shooting 46 percent (23 of 50) from the field, including 12 of 29 from 3-point range.

Cameron McCaffery led the Vikings with 26 points while hitting a career-high 14 free throws, in 14 attempts, in the game. McCaffrey scored 22 of his 26 points in the second half alone. Zach Huisken added a career-high 15 points on 5 of 10 shooting, hitting two 3-pointers and 3 of 7 free throws.
