Augustana Cross Country Tops Central Region Men’s, Women’s rankings
NEW ORLEANS, LA -- The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced on Tuesday that both the Augustana men's and women's cross country teams are ranked first in the Central Region preseason polls.
Last season, the Viking men finished fourth at the Central Region meet, while the women were third, before going on to win the program's first national championship.
The Vikings open the season on Friday, Aug. 31, hosting the Augustana Twilight competition at 8:30 p.m. at Yankton Trail Park.
