After scoring big wins at home in the opening round of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Basketball Tournament, the Augustana men and women find themselves on the road in the quarterfinals.

The No.25 Viking men advanced with an 89-81 victory over Minnesota-Duluth Wednesday night.  They'll meet in-state rival Northern State Saturday afternoon at 4:00pm at Wachs Arena.  The Wolves beat Sioux Falls 63-60 in the opening round.  Augustana (20-7) is the third seed in the South Division.  Northern earned the No. 2 seed in the North Division.

Saturday's winner takes on the winner of the Minnesota State-Mankato - Minnesota State-Moorhead winner in the semifinals.

The Viking women opened the tournament with a 66-51 win over Minot State Wednesday at the Elmen Center.  Augustana (21-6) now travels to Bismarck to face Mary Saturday night at 6:00pm.  The Vikings are the No. 3 seed in the NSIC South Division while the Mauraders hold the second seed in the North Division.  Mary (19-10) defeated Upper Iowa 84-62 in the first round.

The Augustana-Mary winner advances to the semifinals against the winner of the Concordia-St. Paul - Northern State matchup.

The Vikings are ranked seventh in the NCAA Division II Central Region Rankings released on Wednesday, one of three NSIC teams ranked in the region.
