According to reports from multiple outlets, the New York Giants have fired head coach Ben McAdoo and General Manager Jerry Reese. The Giants are currently 2-10 this season.

According to ESPN, the beginning of the end may have been the recent decision to bench starting quarterback Eli Manning, a figure very popular among players and fans.

The breaking point appeared to be the benching of quarterback Eli Manning, but they struggled right from the start. The Giants lost their first five games this season and were officially eliminated from postseason contention before December.

McAdoo's tenure with the Giants lasted less then two seasons. His first season started out strong with an 11-5 record and a trip to the playoffs, ending a 5 year playoff drought. However, his second season was less so, with embarrassing losses and player suspensions. It also didn't like that McAdoo was not well liked by the fickle New York fans.

Reese had been with the team since 1994 and has served as general manager since 2007.

Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will serve as interim head coach according to ESPN.
