Former Sioux Falls Stampede star Thomas Vanek continues to be one of the hottest players in the NHL this season, as he notched a hat trick and pair of assists for the Buffalo Sabres in a 7-4 win over the Bruins in Boston Thursday night.

Vanek now has six goals (second in the NHL) and 9 assists for 15 points in just six games this season.
