The Big10 Conference has suspended University of Iowa Head Basketball Coach Fran McCaffery for 1 game according to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.

The suspension comes on the heels of a ridiculous outburst from McCaffery during Iowa's loss to Wisconsin on Sunday.

McCaffery in a statement said: "I want to again apologize to the University of Iowa, my players, staff and the tremendous Hawkeye fans for my emotional reaction during Sunday's game. I regret my actions and accept the Big Ten Conference's decision. I am ready to move on."

In addition to the suspension, McCaffery was fined $10,000 by the conference as well.

According to Jeff Goodman of ESPN, neither the fine nor the suspension will be appealed.

The Hawkeyes play Northwestern on Thursday and McCaffery will serve his suspension during that contest.
