SEMIFINALS
PIERRE 47, SIOUX FALLS LINCOLN 45
SIOUX FALLS, SD (AP) - Zach Hanson scored the final five points of the game, lifting Pierre T.F. Riggs to a 47-45 semifinal victory over Sioux Falls Lincoln on Friday at the South Dakota boys Class AA basketball tournament.

Hanson converted a three-point play with 22 seconds left to tie the game at 45-45, and hit a pair of free throws with 3.8 seconds to play to send Riggs (19-5) into the title game. Hanson scored 21 points and grabbed six rebounds. Lane Severyn added 18 points for the Governors.

Adam Jaros, who led Lincoln (13-12) with 16 points, gave the Patriots a 45-42 lead with 48 seconds left when he hit his fourth 3-pointer of the game. Nermin Krdzalic added 10 points for Lincoln.

 

BRANDON VALLEY 57, SIOUX FALLS ROOSEVELT 21
SIOUX FALLS, SD (AP) - Nic Peterson's 15 points led Brandon Valley to a 57-51 win over top-ranked Sioux Falls Roosevelt Friday in the semifinals of the South Dakota boys Class AA basketball tournament.

Peterson had three 3-pointers and was 5 for 13 from the field for the Lynx (18-6), who are looking for their first title since 1998.

Jacob Adams had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Lynx and teammate Chase Marso had 10 points. He was 6 for 6 from the line.

Roosevelt's Jeremiah Clark had 13 points and Nate Cole and Tyler Howard had 10 points apiece.

 

CONSOLATION SEMIFINALS
BROOKINGS 73, RAPID CITY CENTRAL 61
SIOUX FALLS, SD (AP) - Konner Beste came off the bench to score 40 points and Brooking rallied in the fourth quarter to beat Rapid City Central 73-61 in a consolation game at the South Dakota boys Class B basketball game on Friday.

Beste was instant offense, hitting his first five three-pointers for the Bobcats (18-7). He made eight of 11 three-pointers and went 14-for-20 overall from the field. He also had seven rebounds.

Tyler Nagy had 12 points and five assists for Brookings, which trailed 46-45 heading into the last quarter after being outscored 18-12 in the third.

Ian Barse and John Fierro had 17 points each for the Cobblers (10-13).

 

HURON 37, RAPID CITY STEVENS 32
SIOUX FALLS, SD (AP) - Huron built a nine-point halftime lead and held off Rapid City Stevens 37-32 in the consolation round of the South Dakota boys Class AA basketball tournament on Friday.

Justin Decker had 12 points to lead the Tigers (17-8), who held the Raiders (10-15) to 29 percent shooting. Huron shot 38 percent and went 10-for-18 at the free throw line.

Adam Zwanziger had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds for Huron.

Steven Schaeffer was the only Stevens player in double figures with 15 points.
