Last week Chicago Bears kicker Cody Parkey hit the upright four times and missed all four of those kicks against the Detroit Lions. The good thing for the Bears is that those misses didn't affect the outcome as they defeated the Lions on Sunday.

This week, however, if Parkey were to miss that many kicks, it probably would affect the outcome as they host a very good Minnesota Vikings team. So Parkey has decided to put in the extra work to try and avoid a similar result.

He will be making the 35 mile trip to Soldier Field this week from the practice facility so he can try to get some extra kicks in from the always windy stadium.

According to ESPN, Parkey said about the extra practice "I guess just check all the boxes you can, right? I mean, it can't hurt."

The Chicago Bears host the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football on NBC.

The Bears currently hold a .5 game lead over Minnesota in the NFC North Stadium.
