Call it the “matinee blues” because the game was played with an 11am tipoff.  Through the first three quarters, neither team scored more than 19 points in any 12 minute stretch.  Tulsa barely made a third of its field goals and Sioux Falls was worse.  The game finally went to overtime and ended with the 66ers chalking up an 82-80 win over the visiting Skyforce.

The teams were nearly even in every category except the free throw line where Tulsa hit 77 percent of the charity tosses and the Skyforce was 64 percent.  If not for a three pointer by DeAndre Liggins near the end of regulation to force overtime, neither team would have broken 80.

Liggins ended with 11 points while pacing Sioux Falls (3-2) was Ryan Evans with 22 points.  Newbie John Allen sparkled in his debut with 17 points.  For Tulsa, (1-4) Grant Jerrett had 19 points to lead five players in double figures.

The Skyforce will return to the court Saturday night for a home game against Ft. Wayne while Tulsa will host Delaware on Friday night.
