On Thursday it was announced that Coldplay will take the stage at halftime of Super Bowl 50.

The Grammy Award winners are led by lead vocalist Chris Martin and their brand new album "A Head Full of Dreams" on Friday.

In addition to Coldplay, Bruno Mars is schedule to also perform at Super Bowl 50 as the NFL tries to celebrate its 50th Super Bowl in style.

Reports from the Wall Street Journal also have negotiations on going with Beyonce to perform as well.  Last time Beyonce performed at the Super Bowl was the infamous blackout game in New Orleans with the 49ers and Ravens.

Super Bowl 50 is scheduled for Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Feb. 7.

Last years act was Katy Perry during the halftime at the Super Bowl.
