WACO, TX -- After receiving votes in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) the last three weeks, the University of Sioux Falls (4-0,4-0) received 57 votes Monday to make its first ever appearance in the DII Poll at No. 25.

Valdosta State (Ga.), Colorado School of Mines and Abilene Christian (Texas) all fell out of the poll this week.

The Cougars rallied from a 5-0 halftime deficit Saturday to protect their home field and defeat Bemidji State University (1-3), 21-5 and improve to 38-1 all-time at Bob Young Field.

USF is one of three Northern Sun Intercollegiate teams to receive votes. Minnesota-Duluth (4-0) continues to sit in the No. 2 spot, while Minnesota State (4-0), who ranked No. 22 last week, jumped seven spots to sit No. 15 in this week's poll. They represent the only other NSIC teams that are undefeated this season.

The Cougars will host Southwest Minnesota State on Saturday, Sept. 29, with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
