BURNSVILLE, MN -- Sioux Falls' Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference schools swept the conference Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards.

University of Sioux Falls sprinter Kendra Knight is the women's Track Athlete of the Week.  The Mitchell senior took the individual title in the non-seeded 600-meter run at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational with a school-record time of 1:31.70. It's also the fastest 600-meters in Division II and the 18th fastest time run in all NCAA divisions this season.  Knight beat the previous school record by more than a second and a half.  She also competed in the 400 meter dash where she finished the race with an NSIC-leading time of 56.91.

The NSIC's women's Field  Athlete of the Week is Kelsey Kaufmann of Augustana.  She set a personal best and improved her qualifying mark by winning the women's high jump at the Ted Nelson Classic on Saturday in Mankato, clearing 1.73 meters (5 feet, 8 inches).  The Arlington native's jump is the best in the NSIC this season and ninth best in NCAA Division II.

The Vikings' Harald Karbo earned the conference men's Track Athlete of the Week.  The distance specialist from Stord, Norway won two events and his his second provisional qualifying mark of the season at the Ted Nelson Classic. Karbo ran to victory in the mile run with a qualifying time of 4:12.18, which is the fastest time in the NSIC this season.  He also won the 1,000-meter run in 2:35.86.  Karbo previously hit a qualifying mark in the men's 3,000-meter run in the first competition of the season.  It is Karbo's second NSIC Men's Track Athlete of the Week Award this season.

Cougar Scott Greenman is the men's Field Athlete of the Week.  Greenman won the pole vault at the USD Alumni Meet with a vault of 16 feet 6.75 inches (5.05 meters).  It ranks as the highest vault this season in the NSIC, is the fourth best in Division II and meets an NCAA provisional qualifying mark.

The Cougars and Vikings return to Mankato this weekend for the Minnesota State Open on Saturday and the NSIC Multi-Events Championships on Sunday and Monday.
