Country singer Kip Moore joined Jeff Thurn on Monday's edition of Overtime on ESPN 99.1 to talk about ticket scalpers.

Over the weekend, Moore and Thurn disputed their differences over ticket scalping on Twitter and to read what happened, check out ESPN991.com.

Moore talks about his hard work, and how he thinks it isn't fair for ticket scalpers to buy tickets and then turn around and sell them before others have the chance to:

"...I’m only coming through Chicago one time this next year. I'm only coming through St. Louis one time and it's going to be a sought after thing. Here's my thing and I just want you to listen to what I'm saying. I have grinded my butt off for 12 years trying to get where I am at now. It's actually been longer than that, but as far as going after this thing, I hone my craft, I slaved to my craft, and I've lived in some dire conditions...Now, I've all of a sudden, I've built a name for myself with all the hard work I've done over the years and you think it's okay and here's another thing, I fought with my agent, managers and everyone keeping these tickets at an affordable cost for my dad like I grew up going to Braves games and we could afford the high seats, which we never could now the way we grew up. But what a relief that was for a blue collar family to go and do that together. And you said that, you made the statement, well, what difference does it make if only people that afford it can go to it? That's such a twisted way of saying it because my dad killed himself everyday working 70 hours a week and what that meant to us kids to be able to go do that together and that release it gave us. That's what I am trying to fight for and the people I am trying to fight for. Now, I've dialed back all my production and all my calls. I'm not making near as much as you think I am and I am trying to make an affordable ticket and then all of a sudden these scalpers find out it's a hot show and they have ways and means with their computer systems to get tickets quicker than anybody else and you are telling me, it's okay after all the work I've done over the years to finally get to this position and I am fighting for these people and it's okay for some weasel behind the computer to get on there and take my $45 dollar ticket and turn around and sell it for $150? And do it that fast and buy 20 tickets? You're telling me that's okay? If you're telling me that's okay, then I don't feel like you stand for anything, man."

Moore tells Thurn that he is doing all that he can to make his concerts affordable for his fans:

"Listen to me, bro. See that's when you need to get your facts right. I'm on tour with a guy right now. I don't see these things. This is my first tour in the Fall. So, I'm getting to set the prices. Hey, I'm out with Tim McGraw right now and have no say in those kind of things. This is my tour in the Fall. So, I am getting to call the shots. There's people that have pushed back on me, but I'm trying to do all I can and I realized once this gets bigger, Tim McGraw's production is huge. So, for him to cover the cost, those tickets have to be a little higher, but I am going to do all I can, and even when I do get to that level, hopefully, to keep things down somehow. Gas has tripled. I mean I get it. I am doing all I can. Dialing back my staff, people that I take out on the road with me. I am trying to make it affordable for my fans to come out and not feel like they are strapped for the next two or three weeks because of what they just spent on the tickets. I am trying to get people an intimate experience instead of going in 4,000 seat arena. I am going in and playing in a 2,000 seat theatre, and charging for that, where I can give people. It's all for the fans. They've built me and that's what I am fighting for. So, it really rubs me wrong when somebody questions my character and the reasons I am doing these things."
