INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- An even matchup between South Dakota and IUPUI ended in a scoreless, two-overtime draw in Indianapolis. It was the third tie of the year for the Coyotes, whose overall record moves to 1-7-3.

Jen Shaefer (Cary, N.C.) went the distance in goal for USD, stopping seven shots on her way to the shutout.

On a night where her team was held scoreless, head coach Mandy Green praised both the effort of her team and the opposing defense.

"I thought we played really well in the second half and in both overtimes," said Green. "Their goalkeeper did a great job tonight and came up with big stops three or four different times."

Keeper Giselle Guzman made nine saves in goal for the Jaguars (2-9-1).

Still, Green was disappointed her team was unable to come up with a victory on a night her defense pitched a shutout.

"It is extremely frustrating that we can't win this type of game with the amazing chances we had," Green said. "Finishing has been a big problem for us all season and it continued to be again tonight. We are close to breaking through. All we can do is keep working hard to get better and go after it again next game."

Jenny Teslow (Sioux Falls, S.D.) and Lauren Bennett (Walton, Ky.) had the most scoring opportunities, leading the Coyote offense with five and three shots, respectively.

The Coyotes have a noon date with Western Illinois Sunday in Macomb, Ill.
