Coyotes Pole Vaulters Take Second And Fourth At NCAA Indoor Meet

South Dakota had two of the top four pole vaulters at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Albuquerque.

Junior Emily Grove took second to Kaitlin Petrillose of Texas with a jump of 14 feet, 7¼.  Petrillose’s winning jump was 15-1, which was an NCAA record. 

USD senior Bethany Firsick, the defending outdoor national champ, finished fourth with a height of 14-5¼.

The Coyotes will have one more jumper in action in New Mexico, as senior Megan Glisar competes in the high jump at 4:30pm Saturday.
