VERMILLION, SD --  Creighton scored three unanswered goals to erase an early deficit and beat South Dakota 3-1 Tuesday at USD Soccer Complex. It was the first win of the season for the Bluejays (1-2-1).

South Dakota led for the first time this season, but fell to 0-3-1. Senior Erin Bello broke a scoreless tie in the 24th minute by heading a Danielle Anderson free kick into the center of the net. It was the first goal of the season for Bello, who led the Coyotes with five goals a year ago.

Brittney Neumann and Alissa Kohmetscher teamed to tie score in the 41st minute. Neumann sent a cross to the left side of the box that deflected off a Coyote defender and straight to Kohmetscher who drilled her first goal of the season. The teams were tied at 1-1 heading into the break.

Alyssa Jara gave Creighton the lead in the 63rd minute after beating a USD defender near the left side of the box and bending a shot into the top, right-hand corner of the goal. Jara's assist to Sarah Kendall in the 77th minute completed the scoring.

South Dakota completes its three-game home stand at 1 p.m. Sunday against College of St. Mary.
