Cubs, City Of Chicago Agree On Wrigley Jumbotron

CHICAGO -- The proposed modernization of historic Wrigley Field has overcome an important hurdle.

The city's landmarks commission on Thursday unanimously voted to approve a deal allowing the Chicago Cubs to build the 99-year-old ballpark's first electronic Jumbotron. The Cubs can also build another sign above the ivy-covered outfield walls.

The owners of rooftop businesses oppose the project because they fear their negotiated views of the field will be obstructed.

The matter now goes to the City Council.
