Did Pacquiao Turn the Fight of the Century into a Fraud?
Here's an update on what was to be the fight of the century. It ended up being the laugh of the century in the boxing world.
Or should we put it as, the money makers had the last laugh. Some say they laughed all the way to the bank.
The fight that had been brewing for years between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather took place recently in Las Vegas. It was built up so much that people were paying tens of thousands of dollars each to get in the building.
For the less fortunate like me, it was $90 for pay-per-view. We were all let down after paying to see nothing. Mayweather won in a unanimous decision after 12 lackluster rounds.
Days after the fight news broke of people suing Pacquiao and promoters. Now we have the latest.
A growing list of legal contenders are going toe-to-toe with Pacquiao because of an undisclosed shoulder injury. At least 32 class action lawsuits across the country allege Pacquiao turned the fight into a fraud and want their money back, and then some.
