After last Saturday’s big rivalry win over Augustana, the University of Sioux Falls is ranked number eight in its first year of Division II. This is the first week of the regional rankings.

Minnesota State, the only undefeated team in the Northern Sun, is number one in the regional rankings. USF plays at Minnesota State on November 3 in Mankato.

Henderson State (8-0), Harding (6-1), Emporia State (8-0), Northwest Missouri State (8-0), Minnesota-Duluth (8-0), Winona State (6-2), Sioux Falls (7-1), Missouri Western (7-1), and Ouachita State (7-1) complete the top ten in Super Region 3 of the Division II rankings. The top six teams make the postseason.

In the other three regions, Shippensburg (8-0), Miles (7-1), and Colorado State-Pueblo (8-0) are the number one teams.  Chadron State (Nebraska), (6-1), is number three in Super Region four.

USF has three games left this season; October 27 vs. Upper Iowa, November 3 at Minnesota State, and November 10 vs. Wayne State.

The Cougars also moved up from number 23 to number 21 in the American Coaches Football Association poll in Division II.
