Women of Scandinavian descent are invited to become a Charter Member of the new Daughters of Norway lodge in Sioux Falls. Borghild M. Dahl Lodge #54 is named after a Norwegian-American professor at Augustana College in the 1930s who overcame blindness to become a successful author and educator. The Institution ceremony will be followed by coffee and desserts. Interested women who submit applications and dues on or before the May 6th event will sign the Charter on that day. However applicants are welcome at any time during the year. Daughters of Norway is a nonprofit cultural organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Norwegian heritage, customs, and crafts.
