Bernard Berrian, former NFL wide receiver got robbed recently and was able to actually catch the thief in the act.

He recently installed a security system that allowed him to tap into a video stream of his homes interior.  When he got a text message alerting him of a alarm at his home going off, he flipped on the video stream to catch the burglar in his home.

To his surprise, it was his ex-teammate Therrian Fontenot who was the burglar.

The even more funnier part of this story is that they were actually at the same BBQ just minutes earlier.

"It was crazy because we were all sitting around and he actually left from where we were at to go do it," Berrian told ABC30.com in Fresno, Calif. "Boom, motion sensor went off, I get an email, so I click on the live cam."

The reason Berrian installed the security system was because he had been robbed a couple of times over the last few months.

Although according to reports, police were not able to connect Fontenot to the other burglaries, Berrian believes he was the culprit.

"He would always call me and try to ask me where I was, make sure I was out of town," Berrian said about his former teammate. "If I was home all the time, he'd blow up other friends in the crew asking them the same question, where's Bernard, how come he's not answering his phone."

Fontenot pleaded no contest and will spend 6 months in jail for the crime.

Over his career, Berrian played for the Bears and Vikings.
