SIOUX FALLS, SD -- Augustana seniors Alex Feeney and Cameron McCaffrey have been named to the Capital One Academic All-District 7 first team by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Feeney, a Bismarck, N.D. native, has a 3.54 GPA in elementary education.  She has started all 18 games and leads the Vikings in minutes played along with scoring and rebounds.  Feeney is averaging 14.5 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, has grabbed double-digit rebounds in the past six games with five straight double-doubles.  Feeney's seven double-doubles on the year ranks her 38th in NCAA Division II.

Feeney earned All-NSIC honors last season and honorable mention All-America honors from the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and the Division II Bulletin.  Feeney was also named to the Academic All-NSIC team after her junior performance in the classroom and on the court.

McCaffrey has a 3.54 GPA in exercise science. He has started all 18 games, leads the Vikings with 20.6 points per game which also leads the NSIC and ranks 16th in the country. McCaffrey has led the team in scoring in 17 of 18 games and has reached 20 or more points in a game nine times this season, including performances of 36 and 40 points.

The senior from Portland, Ore. leads Augustana with 72 assists which ranks fifth in the NSIC and is shooting a team-high 88.0 percent from the field, ranking seventh in the conference.

Sports information directors across the U.S. and Canada vote on the all-academic honors. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his or her current institution.  Athletes named to an all-district team are eligible to earn academic All-America honors, also voted on by CoSIDA members.

District 7 includes teams from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, Great American Conference and the Mid-America Conference.
