After more than three decades heading O'Gorman High School's football program, and in the process winning more game than anyone in South Dakota history, head coach Steve Kueter is getting a fitting send-off - a retirement roast.

Kueter is being honored at the Ramkota in Sioux Falls, Friday, April 15, 2016. The event begins with a social at 6:30 PM, followed by a program at 7:30 PM. A cash bar and light appetizers will be available.

Special guest 'roasters' will include former Argus Leader sports editor Stu Whitney, longtime Sioux Falls public school activities director Mark Meile, former Brandon Valley and Lincoln High School head coach Mike Klinedinst, and former West Central High School head coach Jim Uttecht. Father Chuck Cimpl will emcee the event.

Kueter retired at the end the 2015 season after 33 years as the Knights head coach. During that time, he won seven South Dakota championships, and a state record 289 games. He remains at the school as athletic director.
