Former Olympian Turned Escort

It has been reported by The Smoking Gun website that three-time Olympian runner Suzy Favor Hamilton has admitted being a escort and living a double life in Las Vegas.

The 44-year-old Hamilton currently lives in Madison, Wis., where she owns a realty company with her husband.

When the story was first released, she took to twitter to explain her situation and look to apologize.

She tweeted that she was "drawn to escorting in large part because it provided many coping mechanisms for me when I was going through a very challenging time with my marriage and my life."

Suzy Favor Hamilton represented the U.S. at the Olympics in 1992, 1996 and 2000, but did not win a medal, however she did win seven National Titles on U.S. soil.

All of this comes as a shock to the track and field world as she was known for her charity work and seemed to have it all together.

There are sports stories that don't make sense and this seems to be one of them.

Drug use, money issues are the norm for some former athletes, but Olympian turned escort is new one for me.
