We all dream of leaving our full time job and getting a chance to shine in pro sports and for most of us that dream never comes true.

For Scott Foster, a full time accountant, his dream came true on Thursday.

The Chicago Blackhawks back up goalie was ruled out for Thursday's game and the NHL franchise called upon the accountant to fill the role.

They had held a open tryout and Foster was tallied with being the backup and not only did he get to dress, he got to play.

Foster was thrown into action after another injury to a Blackhawks goalie and he shined in the process.

He stopped all seven shots that he faced in 14 minutes of action as the Blackhawks won 6-2 over the Winnipeg Jets.

See, dreams really do come true!
