Grand Jury Judge Urges Penn St. Case to Go Forward

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - The supervising judge for the grand jury that investigated former Penn State administrators in their handling of the Jerry Sandusky child sex-abuse scandal says the criminal case against them needs to move forward.

Judge Barry Feudale said in an order released Tuesday that continued delay of the case against Graham Spanier, Gary Schultz and Tim Curley isn't in the interest of justice.

Feudale is giving prosecutors three days to challenge his decision to unseal motions by Schultz and Curley that sought to have a grand jury report against them thrown out.

A spokesman for the attorney general's office and a lawyer for Schultz had no immediate comment. A message left for Curley's defense team wasn't immediately returned.

Schultz and Curley have faced charges since late 2011, Spanier since last November.
