If South Dakota State hosts a FCS playoff game this season, the game will be played in Sioux Falls.

SDSU director of athletics Justin Sell made the announcement during the pre-game show of Saturday's Jackrabbit - Missouri State game on the Jackrabbit Sports Network.

According to Sell, demolition of the existing west grandstand at Coughlin-Alumni Stadium in Brookings will begin November 9, the Monday after SDSU's final regular season home game. Sell says construction must begin then to ensure the transition to Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium is complete in time for the 2016 season.

South Dakota State officials have secured Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls to host any possible Jackrabbit home playoff games.

SDSU has qualified for the FCS Playoffs each of the last three seasons and hosted a playoff game once - November 24, 2012 - beating Eastern Illinois 58-10.

The potential dates for 2015 home playoff games:

November 28

December 5

December 11-12

December 18-19
