EL PASO, Texas -- Dylan Talley led all scorers with 21 points, David Rivers added 20 and Nebraska defeated Central Michigan 89-75 in the first game of the WestStar Bank Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational on Saturday night.

Nebraska (7-3) opened up the game with a 10-0 run, forcing Central Michigan to take a time out in an attempt to try and slow down the Huskers. It worked for a few minutes until Nebraska, which led by as many as 19 in the first half, went on an 18-2 run to put the game out of reach for the Chippewas.

The Huskers shot 63 percent from the field and made 7 of 11 from beyond the arc in the first half. Nebraska finished the game by making 32 of 56 from the field and had nine 3-pointers.

Kyle Randall finished the game with 27 points and John Simons finished with 14 for Central Michigan (6-4).
