After the Indiana Hoosiers were recently picked as the number one team in the preseason Coaches’ Poll, Indiana picked as the favorite in the Big Ten, and Cody Zeller has selected as preseason player of the year.

The Hoosiers went 27 and 9 a year ago and made it to Sweet Sixteen before losing.

Head Coach Tom Crean has brought the Hoosiers a long way since enduring a 6 and 25 season in 2008 and 2009. Crean said at the Big Ten media days yesterday, "We had hit rock bottom. We had all kinds of issues that were inside the program. You don't take the job at Indiana thinking you're going to deal with what we were dealing with, but we did. And we weren't going to leave. That wasn't an option."

Michigan and Ohio State were selected as second and third in the Big Ten this upcoming season. Zeller was a unanimous pick for the preseason all-conference team with Michigan’s Trey Burke, Ohio State’s Aaron Craft and Deshaun Thomas, and Penn State’s Tim Frazier.
