INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indiana is giving its football team a new look.

The Hoosiers have unveiled six football helmets they will wear this season - everything from their traditional crimson helmet with the school's pitchfork logo to a throwback white helmet with numbers to a futuristic-looking chrome-and-crimson striped helmet.

The team is expected to wear each helmet at least once this season.

While Indiana fans have been waiting years for the football program to change its image by winning more games, coach Kevin Wilson insists the new helmet designs are helping in another way - getting the attention of recruits. He's hoping IU football will follow the recent resurgence of men's basketball and baseball.
