Kimbo Slice became famous through the internet for videos of his mutual street fights. Those propelled him to the UFC and into the acting world. He has passed away at 42.

Reasons for his death are not reported at this time but is confirmed by ESPN and other outlets.

Slice became one of the first YouTube sensations with his popular street fights. He went on to extend his MMA career by joining Elite XC until the company folded. UFC President Dana White extended a chance for Slice to get into the UFC, but he would have to win the hit show The Ultimate Fighter to get his chance. That season of the show went on to be one of the highest rated in show history, and helped Slice receive a fight after the show ended.

That didn't last too long. White put Slice on UFC 113 and Slice lost in a second round TKO. He was not invited back after.

Post UFC career, Slice helped put Bellator on the map with his fight against Ken Shamrock.
