When Keyshawn Johnson Sr. was in Sioux Falls at the beginning of June he was very excited about his son playing at Nebraska this fall.

That however is going to have to wait after Keyshawn Johnson Jr. was cited for marijuana possession and now is going to take a leave of absence from the program until at least January.

His father had this to say to the Omaha World Herald:

"One thing you will not do as my son is you will not embarrass Nebraska, you will not embarrass [coach] Mike Riley and you will not embarrass this family," Johnson Sr. told the paper. "If you mature and you're ready to presume your football career and academic goals, then Nebraska will be ready to embrace you ... If he does everything he's supposed to do, he can join the football program again and become successful."

This is a very disappointing situation not only for his father but Nebraska as well as they were counting on Johnson Jr. to pan out and be part of this recent recruiting class.
