LeBron, Warner Bros. Strike a Deal. Space Jam 2 on the Way?
One of my favorite movies growing up was Space Jam featuring the Looney Tunes and Michael Jordan. Could we see a second movie with LeBron James?
That's possible, but not officially announced. What we do know is that Warner Bros. signed a deal with LeBron James' production company Springhill Entertainment. It was also discovered that Warner Bros. has proceeded in filing trademark requests for "Space Jam."
So maybe we are close to seeing LeBron meet Bugs Bunny for the first time. The jokes immediately started to fly in. What if he actually becomes the villain of the movie?
Okay, I admit, I laughed. It would be quite the twist. Wouldn't it be even better if they show him winning titles with the Monstars and then return to the Tune Squad with a depleted roster? Then have him lose to a Monstar Steph Curry? Unlike Jordan, this Space Jam 2 could turn into an actual series of movies that would burnout by Space Jam 8.
Regardless, if it's is to be released, most people would have high expectations for the movie. The "older" crowd might sit and disapprove of the (probably great) flick, while the "younger" crowd would marvel in the greatness.
Sounds familiar doesn't it?
I guess we'll have to wait and see if we actually get Space Jam 2. At this point, I can't help but try to figure out the best combinations of players for the Monstars team...
