CHICAGO, IL -- The United States Hockey League announced Monday that Charlie Lindgren has been named Reebok Goaltender of the Week while Sam Rothstein has been named CCM Co-Forward of the Week.

This is the third time this season Lindgren has won the award and second time for Rothstein. Both players have been instrumental in leading the Herd on their current nine-game winning streak.

Lindgren has won seven consecutive starts and went 3-0-0 last weekend, posting a 0.82 Goals-Against-Average (GAA) and a .966 save percentage.  On Wednesday, he turned aside 20 of 21 shots in an 8-3 win over Waterloo. On Friday, he stopped all 15 shots he faced in a 7-1 win at Des Moines and finished the weekend stopping 22 of 23 shots in a 2-1 win at Sioux City on Saturday.

The Lakeville, Minn. native leads the league with 18 wins and ranks third in goals against, averaging 2.38. His .914 save percentage ranks fifth amongst all USHL goaltenders and his two shutouts are tied for third most in the league. He is currently 10-1-0 in his last 11 games with one shutout. Lindgren has already committed to St. Cloud State University for next season.

Rothstein recorded five points (2g, 3a) and was a +5 in the three wins over the weekend. On Wednesday, Rothstein recorded a powerplay goal and an assist in the win over Waterloo. On Friday, he set up two goals in the Stampede’s win in Des Moines and on Saturday, he posted a goal in a win at Sioux City. He has points in nine straight games, which is tied for the third longest streak in the league this season.

Rothstein leads the team in scoring with 32 points (12g, 20a) in 28 games and is third on the club in +/- with a +15 rating.  He has 9 powerplay assists on the year and just 8 penalty minutes. The Minnetonka, Minn. native has already committed to Colorado College for next season.

The Stampede look to extend their nine-game winning streak this weekend when they travel to Green Bay and Cedar Rapids this Friday and Saturday night.
