ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) - The Detroit Lions have signed wide receiver Matt Willis and defensive end Braylon Broughton.

To make room on the roster Wednesday, the Lions released wide receiver Lance Long and defensive end Robert Maci.

Willis has 30 career receptions for 385 yards and a touchdown in 43 games. He caught 28 of those passes and was a key player on special teams the past two seasons for the Denver Broncos. The former UCLA standout started his NFL career in 2007, playing in five games for the Baltimore Ravens.

Broughton signed with the New Orleans Saints last year as an undrafted free agent and was on their practice squad last season.
