The Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers played an afternoon MLB regular season game Thursday at Target Field. Based on the pictures of the crowd, I'm guessing you had no idea.

I understand the Twins have been poor this year. Actually, poor is putting it nicely. With the worst record in MLB, Minnesota has been far from decent.

And I get this was an afternoon baseball game for a bad team who has been eliminated from the playoffs for weeks, but to have what must be fewer than 500 people in attendance for a Major League Baseball game is absurd and unacceptable.

To make matters worse, the Twins announced the paid attendance for the game: 18,374.

With only a week remaining in the season, maybe the Twins should just call it a season and pack up their lockers.
