Make A Clean Dozen For Jackrabbits in 2014
Three days before the end of Spring practice, South Dakota State has put the finishing touches on its 2014 football schedule.
The Jackrabbits adding Wisconsin-Oshkosh for a September 20th game at Coughlin-Alumni Stadium in Brookings. That fills out the schedule at 12 games this season.
The Oshkosh game will also be the annual Beef Bowl game and will give SDSU six home games in 2014.
The Titans went 8-2 last season, with those two losses coming by a combined four points.
In a SDSU press release, head coach John Stiegelmeier said:
We are excited to be able to secure a 12th game for our football program.
I know our seniors look forward to the additional game, and we are all appreciative of our administration for being persistent through the scheduling process.
The Jackrabbits kickoff the regular season August 30th at Missouri, then open the home opener a week later, September 6th, against Cal Poly.
SDSU’s Missouri Valley Conference opener is October 4th at Illinois State. The Jacks have four conference games at home in 2014, October 11th against Missouri State, October 25th against Youngstown State (Hobo Day), Western Illinois November 15th, and South Dakota November 22nd.
The Jacks host their annual Spring Game this Saturday at Coughlin-Alumni Stadium at 11:00am.
