Another piece to the puzzle will be added the Sioux Falls Skyforce. We shall see how well it fits.

The Miami Heat has assigned a second player to their NBADL affiliate. Joining Jarnell Stokes in that capacity is rookie Josh Richardson.

For Miami, Richardson has logged 13 games with averages of 1.7 points, 1.1 rebounds and 9.2 minutes per game. His career high is 8 points which he achieved in his only start of the season on November 12 against Utah.

Richardson was chosen by Miami in the second round of the 2015 NBA Draft. The 6-6 guard out of Tennessee last appeared for the Heat on December 22.

Many players on the Skyforce will have a working knowledge of Richardson’s game. Tre Kelley, Keith Benson, Greg Whittington, Corey Hawkins and Briante Weber spent time in training camp with Miami. Moreover, Richardson and Stokes were teammates in college at Tennessee as part of the same recruiting class.

Richardson hopped a flight from Memphis to Ontario following the Heat’s loss to the Grizzlies on Tuesday night. He is expected to play against the 905 Raptors on New Year’s Eve.
