Coming into the NCAA Tournament game for the SDSU Jackrabbits, they knew they'd have to play an excellent, complete game to defeat Michigan.

They put on some good stretches at times in the first half, only trailing the Wolverines by four at the half.

However, as dynamic as Nate Wolters has been all season, tonight will be a night, Nate the Great will want to forget.

Wolters was able to only garner 10 points on the evening, yet was able to extend his consecutive double digit point scoring streak to 72 games.

The star for the night from SDSU was Braden Carlson with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal to lead the way.

The inconsistencies offensively for SDSU in the second half really was their demise in Auburn Hills, MI and lost to #4 seed Michigan 71-56.

With Michigan, they were able to get contributions from numerous outlets on the evening and were led by two players, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Glen Robinson III.

Glen Robinson III had 21 points, 6 rebounds and 1 steal in a complete game for Michigan and was the true spark for his team.

Tim Hardaway Jr. also had 21 points and was a force on the offensive side of the court as well as defensively. His energy was a constant throughout the entire game.

SDSU can certainly take their second consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament as another building block to a program on the rise.  The future is obviously bright with the notoriety that Nate Wolters has brought the program.

Michigan will move on to the next round with their eyes on continuing a roll-a-coaster of a season in hopes of staying alive.
