You may of never heard of Millikin University before, but the football team wants you to pay attention to them and it has nothing to do with how they play the game.

In a sign of unity and protest, the Millikin University football team decided together that they were going to stay in their locker room during the playing of the national anthem on Saturday.

All but one player stayed in the locker room and that remaining player stayed on the sideline during the anthem and reportably told The Herald & Review that he "did what he felt like he needed to do."

This wasn't the first instance of protest and unity from the players, in fact, they knelt during their Sept. 24th game as well.

Millikin went on to win Saturday over Augustana College 43-35 and upped their record to 3-3 on the season.
