The Minnesota Twins parted with their pitching coach this offseason as Paul Molitor was looking to get a fresh face in as he begins his new 3 year contract extension.

The man he has tagged to be responsible with taking that staff to the next level is Garvin Alston.

Alston had a six game MLB career but has been a coach since 2005 and is considered to be very respected by his peers.

He coached with the A's organization from 2005-2015, Diamondbacks in 2016 and back with the A's in 2017.

He's a man that believes it begins with the fastball and will try and help the current staff locate that fastball more efficiently as he tries to continue their progression.
