MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Torii Hunter threw a tantrum while arguing a called third strike and being ejected from Minnesota's last game.

The Twins have gone 3-7 in June after such a strong May. They've fallen out of first place in their division. Frustration was evident when Hunter threw everything from his batting gloves to his jersey onto the field in protest on Wednesday night during a loss to Kansas City that gave the Royals a sweep of the series at Target Field.

This team, though, has endured enough losing lately that an early-summer slide is not about to drain its confidence. The Twins have credited their strengthened chemistry as one factor in their better-than-expected start to the 2015 season.
