MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have re-signed strong safety Andrew Sendejo to a four-year contract, keeping him in the mix at a position that has been unsettled for several seasons.

The deal, which was done Monday, was agreed to Saturday.

The Vikings also re-signed their exclusive rights free agents, wide receiver Adam Thielen and offensive tackle Carter Bykowski, and placed a contract tender on restricted free agent fullback Zach Line.

Coach Mike Zimmer said recently he wasn't sure if the starting safety the team wants next to standout Harrison Smith was on the roster yet. But if Sendejo becomes a backup he still provides value on special teams. Sendejo made 13 of his 26 career starts last season and was second on the team with 100 tackles.
