Minnesota Vikings Looking to Change History Against Philadelphia

Following the Minneapolis Miracle at US Bank Stadium, the Minnesota Vikings are now heading to Philadelphia looking to change the history between the two franchises.

Minnesota, who punched their ticket to the NFC Championship Game with a win over New Orleans, will now travel to a place that they have struggled throughout their history. Philadelphia is one of three NFC teams that the Vikings have a losing series record against.

Tidbit: The other two? Seattle (5-10) and San Francisco (17-18-1).

Philadelphia holds a 13-11 series record against Minnesota since 1968. The Vikings are 6-4 all-time against Philadelphia at home, however the Eagles hold a 5-9 advantage in Philadelphia.

Lincoln Financial Field, which will host the game on Sunday, has also been a tough place to play for the Vikings. Minnesota is 1-3 overall at that stadium since it opened in 2003.

How about playoff history? It hasn't ended well for the Minnesota Vikings when they have ran into the Philadelphia Eagles in the playoffs. Philadelphia holds a 3-0 playoff record over Minnesota with two of those wins coming in Philadelphia.

The two teams met last season in Philadelphia. Minnesota entered the game 5-0 following their bye week. The Eagles beat the Vikings 21-10.
