The 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi are in about a month, and there will be some local talent on the team.

On Wednesday, according to ESPN 1500, Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise and defenseman Ryan Suter will both join Team USA for the Sochi Olympics.

Team USA also announced that former Sioux Falls Stampede forward T.J. Oshie will play in the Sochi Olympics. He last played for the Stampede in 2004-2005, and is the first former Herd player to play on Team USA.  Oshie is currently playing with the St. Louis Blues in the NHL. For the Blues, he has 33 points, and 27 assists in the 2013-2014 season.
