Moore Scores Career-High 35 As Lynx Beat Fever
Seimone Augustus had 17 points and Janel McCarville added 12 for the Lynx (20-7), who won for the third time in four games and lead Los Angeles by 1 1/2 games atop the Western Conference.
Tamika Catchings scored 22 points and Shavonte Zellous had 19 as the Fever (12-15) fell a half-game behind Washington for third place in the Eastern Conference. Indiana has lost four of five and five of seven.
Tied at 72 midway through the fourth quarter, Moore had five points and Augustus four as Minnesota went on a 12-2 run. The duo accounted for 18 of Minnesota's 23 fourth-quarter points.
Moore scored six of Minnesota's first 10 points in the fourth, the last on a fast-break layup that began when, after a putback of her own miss, she poked the ball free from an Indiana player. The ball went right to Lindsay Whalen who found Moore with a pass behind the Fever defense for a 71-64 lead with 6:48 to play.
Tied at 45 in the third quarter, Moore had six points and Augustus four as Minnesota went on a 14-6 spurt for a 59-51 lead with 2:30 to play in the frame, but Catchings answered with a three-point play, Briann January made a 3-pointer and Jessica Breland made a layup to tie the game.
Wearing commemorative pink uniforms that were auctioned off after the game to support breast cancer research, Moore had 11 points and McCarville eight in the first quarter as Minnesota opened up a 23-21 lead. Zellous had eight points in the period, including two 3s, for Indiana.
Down by 10 midway through the second quarter, Catchings scored on a jumper and a putback and Layshia Clarendon and Jeanette Pohlen had 3s as part of a 10-2 run to get Indiana to 37-35 at the break.
Minnesota shot a season-high 58 percent and Indiana was at 46 percent.
