The next race up on the NASCAR Sprint Cup circuit heads to the high banked half mile. The Food City 500 is Sunday at Bristol, Tennessee.

The driver that everyone is trying to stop right now is Kyle Busch. He swept the last two weekends at Martinsville and Texas respectively.

Martinsville in Virginia is also a half mile, so we know he's tough on the short track. But, the track at Bristol is quite different. It's got much steeper banking.

Busch leads the points and is the defending series champion. He's won this race at Bristol, but it's been five years since he has.

Matt Kenseth won the last one, so he's naturally one to watch. I would also watch Carl Edwards. He won this thing two years ago and recently dominated the Texas race before having things fall apart due to a pit road mistake by the crew.

And I must say, keep an eye on Kasey Kahne. He won this race in 2013. And if there ever was a track made for him, it would be Bristol. I watched this guy when he was just a kid blistering the high banked half milers in a sprint car.

One night in particular that I remember was in 1999 when I was the track announcer at a place called Huset's Speedway. Kasey came in and beat out the track's most dominate driver for the win.

After he impressed the crowd in his first ever appearance at the track, I encouraged him to stick around and be a guest on my racing show the next night. Lucky for me, he took me up on it.

I remember one question I asked him about what his plans for the future were. He told me that someday he hoped to race NASCAR.
