This could set the stage for hate mail, and a response from Jeff Thurn but I'm willing to take the chance. Hockey players are tougher than basketball players. But maybe you already knew that.  And then there's the whole skate vs shoe thing.

Look at the amount of equipment a hockey player needs. They play on a frozen surface. Are subject to a frozen piece of vulcanized rubber flying at their heads at over a hundred miles per hour.

And, they don'e need a week to rest before playing thier next game.

Phew!

Look at the NBA. They just wrapped up the Easter Conference Finals with Cleveland beating Boston and now the first game of the NBA Championship doesn't begin until June 1st.

Thursday, June 1 Cleveland at Golden State, 6:00PM

Wednesday, June 7 Golden State at Cleveland, 9:00PM
Friday, June 9 Golden State at Cleveland, 9:00PM
Monday, June 12 Cleveland at Golden State, 6:00PM
Thusday, June 15 Golden State at Cleveland, 9:00PM
