FARGO, ND -- The North Dakota State Bison swept South Dakota volleyball on Friday night, 25-16, 25-16, 25-19.

The loss dropped the Coyotes to 7-11 overall this season and 1-5 in the Summit League going into Saturday night’s intrastate showdown at South Dakota State (12-6, 4-3).

The Coyotes struggled to get anything going offensively with 25 attack errors in the match.  The Bison (6-11, 3-4) added to USD’s woes with eight blocks.

Kim Bulaga (Crystal Lake, Ill.) had the most kills with nine, and Amber Aschoff (Ankeny, Iowa) added six.  Sydney Dimke (Ham Lake, Minn.) and Kendall Kritenbrink (Gretna, Neb.) both had five kills.

NDSU’s offense also proved to be a problem for the Coyotes with Brynn Joki recording 12 kills, and Megan Lambertson and Lauren Cammack both adding nine kills.  However, the Coyote’s Riley Haug (Gretna, Neb.) did come out with a strong effort on defense with 15 digs.

Tori Kroll (Germantown, Wis.) was second in digs with 10.  She also added 25 assists.

The Coyotes will take on SDSU at 7 p.m. on Saturday.  USD swept the Jackrabbits last season.
